I know author typed him as ENFJ but I think he's INFP. I know my reasoning might sound shallow because honestly, my main reason is I see myself in him, and I'm an INFP. All my close friends think I'm an ENFJ and I also sometimes relate to ENFJ descriptions, but nevertheless, I still feel like I'm an INFP. I think the overall description that INFPs are always wrapped in their own thoughts and feelings and don't really put others first is not necessarily true to all INFPs. Despite what an INFP feels, they are very capable of setting aside their own feelings, thoughts, and agendas in favor of others especially people they love. INFPs with self-esteem issues, especially those with Enneagram 6 in their tritype, can also be submissive to others out of fear. Being submissive and subservient to others isn't really a Fe-exclusive trait.
