Yeah 💀 He's ISTP alright I actually thought ISFP could potentially make sense because of his heavy motivations toward his son, but reading more, his moral compass is almost nonexistent. He has emotions, of course, and his curiosities, but they barely line up with Fi. At some point in the novel, Prince asks Kimura what he thinks about rules and he tells him that he doesn't really care for them because they're easy to work around; the police only focus on solidified facts so if it seems like a death happened a certain way they often just overrule it as that. Also he says straight up that the Prince wouldn't understand his 'interest in people', which is basically what lead him in this mess in the first place. Had he not bothered with the teenagers ganging up on each other in the bathroom and actually minded his own business, he probably wouldn't have Wataru's life at risk. I think this is sort of his grip on Fe and his childish Ti. He doesn't actually care for the wellbeing of others besides his family, but he gets easily swayed by the lives of others that he ends up in deeper shit than he intends to
