I was unable to find a thorough analysis of her type, and since I relate to her a tad bit too well, now this looks like a job for me, quote-unquote. Side Note: I don't kin this character and will only use the basic description of functions (not only from the canonical mbti) without involving my personal experience (in order to avoid being subjective). [PART 1] Fe: This function has already been described well, I agree with previous comments, character's self-worth is clearly dependent on the emotional state of other people. I'll explain right away why this function is dominant, and not 2nd or 3rd: albeit auxiliary Fe is more manipulative than dominant (it's more flexible since it works for the benefit of the dominant function), we see that not only does the character use emotions of others, but she also puts them at forefront of things, thus making it the strongest and most frequently used function (the whole point of a dominant function is that it defines a person’s being). It's the dominant function that all events are evaluated and perceived through. Based on the information above one can be assume that her Fe may be tertiary as the character is trying to achieve someone's love, but I have to point out it's far too developed in manipulation (since adolescence according to Dr. Flug) for it to be that low; tertiary Fe would find it more difficult to work with emotions. Besides, after losing subscribers, damage of her self-esteem and well-being happened precisely due to the loss of control over the situation as a whole (Se). Love of her subscribers was this important to her not inasmuch as out of a desire to figure out other people's emotions (not exclusively positive) and motivations (these being a typical manifestation of tertiary Fe), but rather on account of what kind of power it granted her. I must mention one more detail about an Fe function: harmony. Specifically: fanbase. If a healthy dominant Fe user wishes for harmony of their surroundings for the sake of comfort of others and alliance of people for them [people] to achieve their goals, then an unhealthy Fe user will strive for alliance of others for the sake of their [Fe user’s] own goals. In addition, I would like to refer to the manifestation of the 5th function aka ignored Fi: she does not think about her own internal emotions; when Flug tells her to put herself first - Heed ignores his statement, without even trying to understand what she thinks about herself. Ni: It’s been mentioned in the comments that Heed might actually be just putting up a front, however based on Dr. Flug’s memories of her in high school, it seems like her behavior then isn’t much different from her persona in the present, but rather a part of her personality which she shows a more idealized version of for the sake of public recognition (implementation of dominant Fe). I.e. this can’t possibly be tertiary or auxiliary Fe, but rather the development of personality and its adjustment to needs of the dominant function. Why auxiliary Ni? Since secondary function is a tool for the dominant one, it’s the most flexible function among the rest. It can be developed and operated in various ways in order to achieve the goals of the first function. Ni is mainly about the integrality of a person’s ‘I’ and an understanding of oneself and one’s values. Thus, Heed’s development and methodical change of social masks, usage of a stage persona, all point to auxiliary Ni. The cult-of-personality created around her is a deliberate manipulation of a persona in order to fulfill the goals of Fe (adoration of others). I’d also like to mention that Ni is a desire for individuality, an even greater manifestation of personality. One of the memorable moments was when Heed mentioned she was a hero "unlike everyone else", that her methods of "fighting villains" were different and unusual. Se: Tertiary Se is quite vocal in this character: a need to control society, a motivation to be desired and become important to others, a thirst for attention and power, her speaking about "the best hero" (which translates to her wish to be seen as competent to others). Tertiary function is responsible for a person's self-esteem, altogether an important function, however since it stands on the lower side of the bunch, it operates more clumsily when a person tries to realize themself in it (especially in adolescence aka 13 to 25 years). We have a situation where a specific area is valuable to a person, but since their skills in it are poorly developed, it causes problems in their assessment of themself and their desire to succeed; therefore, person tries to avoid mistakes at all costs and tries to behave in such a way so that others won’t have any negative assessments or doubts about the competence of tertiary function, otherwise it will wound their ego. Hereby, it’s clear why this character has tertiary Se, and not Fe.
