This song pretty much encapsulates my understanding of the E4. They see their flaws as good things they don’t need to change because they make them who they are. They then push the negative qualities of themselves onto others. “You gotta see the artistry in tearing the place apart with me”. While 8s do negative and destructive things to control the environment and achieve their goals, the 4 is much more likely to be doing negative and violent things “just because they can”. They’re also more likely to try and make other people act the same way, which fits with the song, as it’s about the singer trying to convince someone else to become a fellow “wrecking ball”
