During the movie, Tails despite finding Sonic admirable, the only reason he actually went to him is to warn him about the dangers of Dr. Robotniks comeback before things took a turn in the wrong direction, to keep peace and harmony in the environment. He went there because he knew he’s the only one who could do it and that’s the most logical thing to do at that point. He never thinks about how he feels about the situation and more-so-overly only thinks about impersonal ways and solutions to solve most problems and how things are logically connected. He doesn’t have any personal values or beliefs nor does he view things through a moral lense like Sonic does. (Ex: a time in the movie when they were in a snowstorm they needed shelter immediately, Sonic spotted a cabin in the distance and said they should go there. Tails asked “are you sure? We don’t know the people inside” skeptically presuming that there could be bad guys in there, Sonic though replies “Don’t worry, earth people are very welcoming and love taking complete strangers into their homes!” he says so positively based off of what he felt and experienced + how Sonic viewed things so morally positive in the first movie despite knowing nothing compared to Tails first time on earth.)
