Mary Nell Steenburgen (born February 8th, 1953) is an American actress. She is best known for her roles in Cross Creek (1983), Parenthood (1989), and Step Brothers (2008). She has been nominated multiple times for a Golden Globe and won once. Steenburgen portrays a fictionalized version of herself, the ex-wife of Ted Danson as of Season Nine. Steenburgen has been married to Danson off-screen since 1995.
