Ryland Grace, a science teacher, wakes up alone on a spaceship light-years from Earth with no memory of who he is or why he’s there. As his memories slowly return, he realizes he is the sole survivor of a mission sent to the Tau Ceti star system to save Earth from a mysterious organism that is draining energy from the Sun and threatening humanity with extinction.
