Voting tristamp Vash ENFP just because manga/'98 anime Vash is ENFP is simply stupid. His Fi is much stronger than his Ne which we can very clearly observe during his interactions with Nai. All of Vash' arguments are based on his personal moral code that was formed in him by Rem a LONG time ago and remained unchanged ever since then. Vash has a very personal and very unflexible set of values that are his first go-to thing when he has a decision to make. He often lacks Ne tendency to use abstract ideas and be open-minded. He believes that everyone should share his values and he refuses to reconsider Wolfwood's methods. There was also that one conversation with Roberto when he told Vash that he can see he wants to settle down somewhere and live a calm, peaceful life. We can also see through the series that Vash, when not in already chaotic situation, is relatively calm and composed. That is NOT Ne dom/Si inf y'all. Te inf makes him hesistant to sort out his prorities and make difficult decisions when needed, mostly because he's so caught up on "saving everyone". Not to mention that his enneagram might make him appear more extraverted since social 9s tend to act a lot like E7s. I can see where the confusion is coming from though. Honestly I think there is so few INFPs in media because a lot of them is mistyped as another type.
