He is so cute!!! And I was so sad when he died. :(( But anyways, I think he has more of a 4 fix than a 3 fix in his tritype. Al joined Peter and Drew in scaring Tris out of envy. He was envious of her ranking and his envy led him to betray her in the end. While his jealousy of her being first can be seen as three-like, Al doesn’t seem to want to necessarily be the best but rather wants Tris’s secure position that prevents her from being thrown out of Dauntless. The three’s thought process is: “I will work hard to be the best. In the end, I will be the best no matter what.” While the four’s thought process is more: “I will do anything to have what they have. I need to have what they have! It would fulfill me.” I think Al’s thought process aligned more with the four’s core sin of envy than the three’s core motive of being the best. But that’s just my thought process! :)
