This character is as "scientist-like" as ideal. To be honest, I personally thought that scientist characters portrayed in the "Pokemon" series would tend to be psychopathic or malicious in purpose and inner workings (just like Ghetsis, whom Corless dislikes). I found Corless, who genuinely pursues his own curiosity to the end, to be quite unique. Note: In the greeting upon logging into "Pokémon Masters EX," there is a line that says, "I've been up all night immersed in my research," and "When I greet the protagonist, I realize that the sun is already high in the sky." I got the impression that he was so absorbed in his own interests that he had dropped the priorities of his daily life.
