Peyton is a beautiful character though her decisions were controversial to some. I think shes an obvious ISFP. Introverted feeling you can see from the beginning, but her use of Se is definitely apparent over Ne in the first few episodes alone. Shes quintessential ISFP lol. Drawing out her feelings rather than putting words to them, desiring physical experiences sometimes even as a coping mechanism. Whether it was cheering (even though she didn't really like it that much), fast driving, loud music, plastering her room in dark expressive art. Peyton is not interested in the hypothetical. She's completely hands on in her approach with everything. Peyton's struggle is that she truly does want to apply the action of making her life what she wants it to be.Her environment and circumstances (losing her mother, demand from school and peers) just wasn't that validating for her, and you can tell her character could use some validation. (Lucas thankfully gave that to her later on) . She felt trapped. I know the introverted feeling while navigating through high school all too well. There are also basic details that set the INFP and ISFP apart. One of them being social dynamics and communication style as well. I read something about how Se can give ISFPs the ability to act on opportunities as their auxillary function. I think Peyton did exactly that when it came to her life.
