primary Ni In his songs, other writing and drawngs, theories and views on life, religion, the world other people: constantly doubts and questions everything, sees patterns (in interviews for example), creative, finds making art necessary, loves knowledge, has ideas for improvements and knows how to put his theoretical ideas into reality, able to draw inspiration from inside his own mind, lives mostly inside his own mind, constantly gets disappointed in reality, focused mostly on the present or the future, anxious about the future (he said that he sometimes becomes physically ill when he thinks about what happens after death), sees the world and expresses himself through metaphors, finds connections where no one else does, looks for hidden meanings and depth in everything, lyrical obsessions in the ways he talks and communicates (in interviews): struggles to find the words to express his thoughts properly, gets lost in his answers, literally zones out in the middle of the answer, sometimes gives up on giving the full answer because he realises it’s too complicated to explain or it won’t sound the way he’d imagined it auxiliary Fe I see why many people see him as a Fi user, and I see that too, but here’s why I think he’s actually a Fe user: - when asked about happiness, he said that joy is a feeling that often comes from interaction with others -in the same interview, he said that he’s always found it difficult to compromise, but he used to go along with other people’s decisions way more often when he was younger and that has changed now (development of tertiary Ti throughout life) -he said that he wasn’t very in touch with his emotions -he’s very emotionally honest (but also extremely introverted and reserved) - the way he literally gave up on art school because the teacher called his art ‘sleazy’ -when I watch his interviews, I feel like he naturally wants to be kind and respond considering others’ feelings, in his earlier interviews he was often rude, but that was, while sometimes just his true reactions, still mostly a part of his stage persona and the way he wanted people to perceive him at the time (also drugs maybe). In his later and recent interviews, which aren’t as chaotic as those earlier ones, he pays much attention to the interviewer (it looks sort of like he’s trying to read them, but we can’t know what’s going on inside his mind) and lets them describe the question in more details without interrupting. - he sees different sides of things and people’s motives -he said that the band members get over the way they feel about each other because they feel responsibility towards their fans - he said he doesn’t really know that much about himself -he said that he needed to externalise his thoughts and feelings through music and writing to know what they are and understand them -he said the songs know the artist better than the artist knows himself tertiary Ti he seems to be in a Ni-Ti loop a lot of the time, using it as a mechanism to defend himself from the world: overcomplicates, overthinks into contradicting and doubting himself, yet only trusts his own judgement, doesn’t take criticism very well, isolates himself from the world, he said he got used to living without needing anybody, becomes cold and critical I think the way he uses Ti is much healthier now than it was before (because it developed over time), so now he can use it normally instead to only turning to it in critical situations inferior Se he isn’t very aware of his surroundings or the way he comes across his inspiration comes from within rather than the outside world edit: i’m just going to upgrade this comment with some quotes from 20 000 days on earth and one more time with feeling since i hadn’t seen them before and my previous arguments were based only on interviews, lyrics and youtube documentaries dominant ni and inferior se: ’I create my own world and when I get out of it, I always feel startled by the so called real world.’ auxiliary fe: ‘I’m not interested in writing my songs as a diary, I want to write lyrics that connect with people.’ tertiary ti (ni-ti loop): ‘I had a terrible feeling he was being kind to me.
