Taka is essentially in the same situation as Mufasa, in a polar opposite way. He has both parents, a bright future ahead and is loved. But he also is not accepted for who he is, and grows up not doing what he wants. He doesn't get to hunt, or grow up with his brother alot. Eventually he doesn't feel good enough, physically and mentally (as of the 2024 movie, he rights this in the 2019 version). This IS the 1V vs 3V comparison. A tale of a 1V being lower in status but higher in willpower. A royal 3V being insecure all the time due to not knowing what to do, who they are, and what they're worth. This AP argument is the whole point of the movie. It's showing the process of two brothers whom did what they did with what they were given. The real story of Mufasa 2024 is not about Taka being good once, nor does it justify his motivations. Its about his confusion, and without guidance, he chose the wrong path. Really, he had a tragic childhood, but at the end of the day, everything that happens is of his own choice. He was always smart enough to make his own decisions, and he chose to make the most destructive ones because he was hurt by his own ego overcompensation. All of the ravings that come from him are really just egoistic and selfish reiterations and coping. Taka/Scar believed too much in their own intellectual capabilities and trying to justify a worth that he really didn't have. This was a good move because of how it turned a plot motivated villain like the Animated Scar into a villain with real motivations.
