Spoilers ahead. Episode 1 Even a child, her perception of the S Lines was that of 'this must have a deeper meaning'. She says: "As I grew older, I naturally came to understand the meanings of these lines. And I came to know only I could see these lines." and "As if someone was deliberately messing with me, I always survived." She attaches meaning to and investigates the significance of her seeing these lines, searches for their reason, and always looks towards the bigger picture (especially after her father's murder, which led to her self-isolation and suicide attempts - Ni-Fe: "I see how this knowledge I have will hurt others, so I will remove myself from the equation."). After unsuccessful attempts, she says: "I made up my mind: if I am going to survive anyway, I need to at least understand why these lines exist." Clear Ni and Ti. She eats canned food - the same food - every day, her room is relatively clean, but she clearly does not have a single mind for the physical world (potentially demon Si, lower stack Se). She does not act upon a moral code, but jumps to save her neighbour (Se working for Fe). She recognises a pattern immediately: "(...) someone with just one S-line isn't necessarily inconspicuous, especially someone who tries to eavesdrop at a murder scene" - clear Ni connection. Her intuition reacts first, although this finding could have been explained with several different reasons; she actually does rationalise and undermine her own intuition later on, when she is on call with the police (realising it was her neighbour's lover - but she was right to have suspicions). Her Ni was ahead, but she could only reach the right conclusion later. Another pattern she recognised was the significance of the glasses: "Can that man see the S-Lines like me? How can that be? Is it because of the glasses?" (Ni and Ti). Throughout the show, Hyeon-hyeop shows several of the clearest portrayals of Ni in any drama. She often uses the expression "I know / I knew / I realised" for answers with long-winded, ambiguous explanations, proving her introverted intuition is constantly at work. She shows little to no signs of introverted feeling, instead, she is deeply affected and susceptible to the emotional/physical happenings, her action began with cooperation with others (detective, Seon-a, etc.) and for others, she is interested in and easily dissects relations between people, having a broader outlook on life and little to no personal prejudice, although she is visibly uncomfortable with the physical sphere - something she seeks to rectify (as well as disprove her categorisation of her own self as a cursed child) by engaging in a physical relationship for the first time. Additional: Episode 6 "I always get a birthday card on my birthday. Even though there's no one to send me one. At first, I thought (wished) it was my mom, but one moment, I realised: someone was counting down the days until my birthday. Someday, I would be required to do something. And... I think today is that day." This scene sums it up quite well. Ni sees a timeline, a pattern. Fe sees the interpersonal implication of this. There is a hidden purpose, causality, and she packages this realisation into symbolism. Her realisation was also sudden, as Ni usually is. There is no self reference here, no values, or individual identity. (P.S.: Inferior Se is abundantly clear in her character. Why someone would think to use Se to disprove her being a Ni dominant is as baffling to me as anyone finding her to be a Fi dominant. Some Se inferior examples: freezing before reacting, detachment from body (end of EP1), dissociation (EP6), sensation romanticising, overstimulation, Se eruption (EP1 end, EP2 when she attacks the bully, EP6), the swimming pool scene where she jumps in to find peace from the stimuli, etc.)
