Prefacing this by saying that I also typed Dirk as an ENTJ¹, and that from a logical standpoint there isn't a whole lot of room to deny that Doc Scratch and Ultimate Dirk are the same person, given the facts of the matter wrt the two of them vis à vis Lord English. While it's not my MAIN supporting evidence, i still think it's fascinating and worth a mention. That all being said, Scratch shows many traits that ring true of some of the worst ENTJs you might meet, such as; - Condescension: Just read ANY of his dialogue or narration, mate. Every single thing the guy says radiates an air of arrogance and superiority. Strong contender for the Most punchable man in Homestuck 2K25- as a matter of fact, beating me to the punch is one of the couple things I actually gotta give to Hussie (the character). - Immorality: He grooms several young girls into doing his bidding, manipulating them into performing actions in service of his master, and he even holds one of them *captive.* On top of that, he casually justifies and rationalizes away any and all criticism that is thrown his way, no matter how warranted it is. That's not even getting into who his master IS, either... - Insensitivity: "Look at that. The short amount of time I have reserved for arguing with a child has expired." -Homestuck pg. 2244 Doc is ruthless, egocentric, and unyielding, but you wouldn't guess so at first just looking at the "kindly old man" front he tends to put on at first. It starts to be increasingly obvious, though, once you see how he speaks to those who attempt to resist him. - Consistent Anger: This one is harder to pick up on, but becomes more obvious the closer you get to his narrative takeover segment in Act 5. He's not overtly resentful, so much as he's passive-aggressive; he's the kind of person who would angrily fold a shirt or furiously wash dishes in your general direction. He also doesn't shy away from stating his grievances outright, but will generally do so in a detached manner that makes it hard to police him on tone- after all, he considers doing that to be HIS domain. I have no additional commentary on the matter, barring that if i ever saw Doc Scratch in real it would be ON SIGHT. 1.
