—Abby's existence is strongly intertwined with that of Rover. In its dormant state, Abby was sealed within Rover's Tacet Mark on their hand (similar to a genie sealed within the magic lamp), and it is the entity that Baizhi discovered inside of Rover's body after their arrival in Jinzhou. It seems that Abby's presence grants Rover the unique ability to absorb Echoes of Tacet Discords without the use of Pangu Terminal (these Echoes are likely being absorbed by Abby itself). It was hinted several times that Abby's full potential rivals that of the Sentinels. During the battle with the emerging Threnodian in Norfall Barrens, Abby was able to contain a powerful blast of energy emitted by the defeated Dreamless and shield Rover and Jiyan from harm. Later, when encountering Sentinel Jué on Mt. Firmament, the Sentinel suggested that Abby might be an entity similar to themselves, even though Jue was not familiar with it.
