Evolution (2001) is a movie I genuinely think is worthy of being called a blast. I don't say that lightly. It is a super-soaker to the eyeballs plus it's foreshadowing Breaking Bad just because I say it is. Anyway, I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to type Ira Kane, and, so, what's wrong me? I haven't started yet. I will now. ✅ Note how throughout the film Ira takes a commanding role with whoever he's grouped with and his thinking is adaptable. He isn't choosing to pause to speculate whether or not something makes connected sense personally as an introverted thinking type would do, but, instead, Ira focuses on when/how/where/what something is working and he is making sense in the logic of this present deterministic way, which is indicative of him consciously using extraverted thinking to receive information in order to make his decisions. ✅ Note how Ira's extraverted thinking can be seen in how he gets Harry to impersonate military personnel with him in order to get their alien research back. Harry and him arrive to the wire parameter in fake uniform and Ira's holding wire cutters to use on the wall. This plan of Ira's offers a simple logical sequence to follow. It's not this thoroughly thought out intricately modelled step-by-step, but, it's one logical generalization then another logical generalization in assumption and before you know it they've infiltrated the base and are back underground taking fresh samples of the evolved alien organism. ✅ Note ira's conscious use of extraverted thinking can also be seen in his makeshifting the firetruck into a selenium delivery system to destroy the aliens. He gets Harry and Wayne and the rest to load it up with bottles and bottles of shampoo and then they drive it into the eye of the alien storm, so to speak, and under his command they look for a central point and once found they deliver the hose into it and the selenium in the shampoo does its intended job. ✅ Note how Ira relies on pattern recognition to figure things out, and this is how he consciously perceives. For example, when he sees the periodic table on the back of Allison's t-shirt he identifies a new pattern and figures out selenium will kill the aliens. His pattern recognition works in a filtered way, which is indicative of conscious introverted intuition. ✅ Note how Ira is aware of his external sensory environment. He's an evidence-based kind of person after all and he's explorative when he reacts to finding new alien evolutions. However, he's not as impulsive with the sensory world as Harry and Wayne are as they both lead with extraverted sensation. Ira's extraverted sensation is not as strong as theirs, but, it is a conscious function for him and most likely tertiary in his stack since he doesn't show signs of repressing it. ✅ Note how throughout the movie Ira downplays emotional potential that involves himself. For example, when he and Harry are underground after infiltrating the military base Harry mentions something akin to a sexual tension thing going on between Ira and Allison and Ira, despite feeling the accuracy in what Harry says, downplays whatever there is to take the spotlight off of Allison's and his potential relationship dynamic, which is indicative of Ira having inferior introverted feeling. ✅ Note how Ira would rather stay focused than go on emotional detours and he has a habit of denying and dismissing negative emotion when his feelings should be hurt, and, so, it's quite evident Ira represses introverted feeling. So, yeah. Based on the patterns that keep presenting, consensus pulled a rabbit out of a hat and got this one right. I am in agreement Ira Kane is most probable an ENTJ.
