Biografia
Xiang Liang was the uncle of Xiang Yu, one of the greatest military leaders of the Chu-Han contention. He came from a noble Chu family and was the son of Xiang Yan, a famous general of Chu. After the harsh rule of the Qin dynasty, widespread uprisings broke out. Xiang Liang and his nephew Xiang Yu raised an army in Wu (modern Jiangsu) and became key leaders of the anti-Qin rebellion.Declared King Huai II of Chu as the legitimate ruler to rally support. Helped restore the Chu state as a symbol of resistance. In 208 BCE, he was killed in battle against the Qin general Zhang Han at Dingtao. After his death, leadership passed more heavily to Xiang Yu, who would later become the central figure opposing Liu Bang (the founder of the Han dynasty).
