I agree with the high Fe comments 100%. Once again I'm tired of people categorizing Te doms as being strict, controlling, perfectionists and a parent can ONLY be a Te dom if they have these traits. Ming being unable to admit her faults is a pretty common thing in others and is in no way a sign of inf Fi. There's so much more to having Te-Fi than just being a helicopter parent. Fe: Throughout the movie she spends her time prioritizing the harmony of the family. She goes out of her way to help Mei, and has a "I know her better than anyone else" mindset. Fe doms are completely capable of neglecting someone's true feelings because they believe they know best. Si: She's very dedicated to upholding her family traditions and we see that she finds value in memories way better than Mei. From Fe-Si conveyer, she prioritizes her daughter through experiences she has learned from in the past. She makes sure Mei is always safe and out of trouble by remembering little things. We see her follow Mei to school a lot because she's worried for her. Of course since it's a children's movie we won't get a perfectly written character, but I'm sure that's Fe-Si. Ne: The best way I could probably explain how I see tert Ne is because she prioritizes Fe-Si way more than her other functions... we do see glimpses of it when she's stressed- she immediately thinks of the worst possibilities that could happen- and it's always directed at the people around her, another Fe-Si-Ne conveyer. Ti: Refer back to dominant Fe. EXFJs sometimes have difficulty admitting their faults because of inferior Ti, which could be the real reason. If I'm being completely honest, we don't see Ming Lee using much of her thinking function. That's one of the main reasons why I'm against her being a Te dom. As soon as she believes her daughter is unsafe, she throws away all logical reasoning-- and you can see it when she blames Mei's friends for her behavior. Seriously though, where is the dominant Te? She makes decisions based on how she and others feel about it emotionally. Reminder that XSFJs can also be controlling, helicopter parents!!

Meilin Lee's mother who raised her to be an responsible, efficient and hard-worker individual. Ming is a proud and strict but devoted mom who tries to do what she think is the best for her daughter life, despite being very intense, perfectionist and suffocant with her most of the time.
