"¿Qué tipo de personalidad es Hee-Won Jang? Hee-Won Jang es un tipo de personalidad INFP en mbti, 9w8 - - en enneagram, en Big 5, IEE en Socionics."
(1/3) Hee-won: "Isn't that cherry blossom tree beautiful? For countless seasons, it gave its all to bloom the most beautiful flowers. It focused so much on helping those flowers bloom that it couldn't take care of itself.. which is why I thought the trunk was so dark. I know it's sentimental, but it made me look back and reflect. What type of teacher was I? Did I focus so much on helping my students bloom like that tree that I didn't have time to take care of myself? [Doo-joon then says: 'Nobody is perfect.'] I know. That's why you have to put in effort. Now it's time for me to focus on becoming a great mom. Then I can focus on my path as a teacher, right? It won't be too late? [After Doo-joon says that she has talent, doesn't want to make sacrifices, and that she's not alone in raising the baby] Thank you. I'm not trying to make sacrifices on purpose. I'm just trying to do the best I can in this current situation and that's to be a mom." [Internal thought (IT)]: ***"I know that it's time for me to say goodbye to my longstanding crush. The desire for my unrequited love to be reciprocated.. the envy I felt at my friend receiving the love I wanted.. they are feelings I absolutely do not need as someone who's about to get married."*** [IT]: "I thought the three of us would remain friends forever. I went numb and I had a hard time thinking. Wanting to protect our perfect trio, I had kept my feelings for Min-wook hidden." [IT]: "I took care of myself all those years, so why do I feel so upset right now? I must've been leaning on Doo-joon more than I thought.." "Doo-joon, don't talk about my work like it's meaningless and easy." _____ I had been struggling for the longest time on whether Hee-won was an sp 4 or sp 5, but after re-reading the series, I think Hee-won is an sp 4 with a strong 5 wing. The crux of Hee-won's character is someone who has yearned for love from her mother, but because she never received it and her one-sided love for MIn-wook did not pan out, she not only minimizes her needs but takes her suffering and goes out to have a one-night stand. Hee-won was also inspired to become a teacher because of her mother and takes great pride in being a teacher, but after finding out she's pregnant she is also is afraid of becoming a mother because she does not want to make her child suffer like she did. I want to quickly go over Hee-won's MBTI. Imo, Hee-won is an INFP and not an INFJ or ISFP. For reference on how I'm defining the cognitive functions, I have a guide to all 8 here: https://www.personality-database.com/post/8092787?boardID=327791. First and foremost, Hee-won is an Fi user. While she is kind and caring and a lot of INFJs might be able to relate to her because she's sp 4 (which seems to be common type among INFJs), her lack of Ni and Fe are apparent when interacting with others- so much so that even Min-sook tells her that she should "learn to read between the lines." Rather than Fe (social norms/moral heuristics/social values), Hee-won uses herself as a reference standard when making ethical decisions- that is she relates others to herself. This was most apparent during the delivery chapter and after Hee-won contemplated "I wonder if mom went through this, too" she began to be willing to open up to her mom a bit more. Hee-won focuses on ethical consistency and her own personal values, rather than focusing on social norms or social values. Her answer to Doo-joon of why she left the two bills also comes across as Fi to me: "When I think about it now, I guess what I did was strange, but.. there wasn't any meaning behind it. I just.. It was just all I had on me that day." Second, Hee-won is on the Ne-Si axis, and not the Se-Ni axis. Hee-won's Ne (divergent thinking/loose tangential associations) comes in the form of her relating scenarios to spy or drama movies, relating to various objects like the cherry blossom tree, and even contemplating in the beginning if Doo-Joon was some bug lord trying to do a breeding experiment. Si is even easier to spot in Hee-won as so many things trigger her episodic memory. She is always comparing and relating the past to the present, which was one of the strong reasons she was so hesistant on becoming entangled with Doo-Joon in the beginning. ____________ Back to sp 4: (cont in replies)
