I always saw Dale as more of a 9 than a 7. He’s extroverted and excitable so he gives off 7 vibes but he seems less thrill seeking than a typical type 7. More passive and happy to go along with the group to go along with the chill vibes. I feel like a 7w8 would be less likely to let Chip have as much leadership over the group, given how uptight Chip could be. Strong 7 in his Tri-type though, as Dale was VERY fun-loving.
