In Season 3 she is introduced as a new broom sweeping up the department, after her contrastingly bland predecessor. She ushers in some much needed reforms as a government minister, but later on finds herself over her head as she struggles to maintain power as the leader of the opposition in Season 4 and is ultimately ousted by Dan Miller and Malcolm.
