The reason why everyone is confused between “INTP” and “INTJ” for Terry is because Myers’ function order is wrong, and its causing mass mistypes. Yes, he was an INTP, and the real function order for INTPs is Ni-Ti-Fe-Se. Since temperament is fixed to type, according to Berens’ Interaction Styles (INP = phlegmatic/*) and Keirsey’s Groups (NT = */choleric), he was phlegmatic/choleric His spiritual fervour / insights coupled with his highly nuanced and complex understanding of code, theory, etc. are basically Ni>Ti. His TempleOS system (Ti) is serving his perception of god, and our ideas about godliness are often attributed to the nature of the unconscious / Ni as the “god image” (it’s quite interesting to think about unconsciousness being conscious, haha). Temperamentally speaking, he is reaching Awareness (primary phlegmatic) through Will (secondary choleric). I think his schizophrenia and overall mental state was a lot of Se4 -> gSi4 (X4 -> G4 transference is a Tower occurence, to bring tarot archetypes into the picture), coupled with the paranoia that conscious Ti types suffer due to difficulty relating or trusting collective feeling. He fits the Page of Swords descriptions quite well, and he has obvious NP Drifter qualities with his nomadic and wandering life style. This comes hand in hand INP’s quality of being detached from every day reality due to inferior Se. Its development was a complex and unusual undertaking for one person. Davis also posted video blogs to social media, and by the time of his death, had established a small online following.
