i mean i don’t really look at something like strange thing about the johnsons or even some spots of midsommar and go “ah. this was made by a man with a distinct moral code.” that’s not to say that INTPs are immoral or anything but he seems to dwell a lot and sit in moral grey areas. when asked at lincoln center about if the ending of midsommar was a happy ending, he thought about it, stumbled a little and responded with “it’s designed to be cathartic” and then moved the conversation over to the score, etc. i don’t think an Fi dom would hesitate and not *really* answer a question like that regarding a moral dilemma of a film they had already spent years writing and creating

Ari Aster (born July 15, 1986) is an American director and screenwriter, best known for writing and directing the horror films Hereditary (2018) and Midsommar (2019), as well as the short film The Strange Thing About the Johnsons (2011).
