There aren’t any comments showing his functions so I thought I’d try to analyze him a bit. First, I have to point out that he did take the 16personality test and got ESFJ-A. I know everyone here hates 16personality and all that, but I think it’s useful sometimes. It can give us a lens to analyze from, and eliminate things along the way. I think the test was almost right though, he might not be an ESFJ, but I’m definitely getting ISFJ vibes from him. Si - Si and Ni were very hard to pin down for me because there weren’t a lot of English interviews I could find (or translation of his interviews), but these quotes did make me think Si more than anything. Interviewer - Sometimes you seem like a young ‘93er, while sometimes, you seem somewhat like a precocious child. Bo-gum - I am greatly influenced by my parents. My father likes cultural life, so he recommends good films and plays to me that we sometimes watch together. Members (T/N: actors and actresses) in my company also do the same, but my family, including my father, objectively speaks about acting, so I learn a lot from them. I believe adults’ words are never wrong, so if I obey my parents, many things come along that allow me to realize early on that I am in the right direction. Q - Because of the long shooting hours, it is tiring and hard and it is easy to get distracted, how does Park Bo Gum set himself right PBG - “The influence of family is big and so is the power of faith.” Fe - I will say that in reading his interviews his Fe was screaming in my face, like there was no way to avoid it with him. I don’t even need to break it down, you can read any of his interviews and it’ll be the first thing you see, but here are a few quotes: “Thanks to the fans’ support and love, the energy from fans has become [a source of] strength for me.” “I used to be a ‘yes man’ who would say that everything was fine, even if I hated it,” he said. “I didn’t want to hurt other peoples’ feelings so I tried hard to always be considerate of others.” Ti - His Ti was pretty obvious, which is why I ruled out ESFJ pretty quickly. He’s very good at analyzing and organizing his thoughts, and coming up with logical conclusions to things. “I’m always hoping that projects will present some kind of message, rather than being intended as a way for people to simply spend time or to make them laugh and then just move on,” he said. “I’m good at playing villains and want to do well at that too, but I don’t want to just take on the role of a killer without a reason.” Ne - I only have this example of him not having Tert Ne and it’s this quote, it’s bad, but it’s all I have for now lol. “I’m the type to concentrate on one thing if I’m captivated.” Also just because it’s almost the same enneagram as me and I can sense it in him just from reading his quotes, I think he’s a Self-Preservation 3w2. I think that’s probably why his Fe is so much more noticeable than his Si. He seems very ambitious, and he cares a lot about how well his work does than he’ll ever say out loud. I saw a Vogue interview where he says he Googles himself to see how well his projects are doing, or to see what is being said about him. Here are some quotes: The interviewer also asked if he has any aspirations. He replied, “I do! I would like it if Hollywood noticed me. Why couldn’t it be me, right?” “My goal is not to become famous, or live a life enjoying money or fame. I want to become an actor who always gives a positive influence…” Self-Preservation Threes: “Self-Preservation Threes strive to be the ideal model of quality in whatever they do. They want to be the best example of how to be in whatever role they play: the best parent, the best partner, the best worker, the best at whatever they do. They feel a need not only to be seen as good, but also to actually be good. They do this both to achieve a sense of security and to inspire admiration in others without being obvious about their vanity. They want to be admired because they do things well, and they want to do the things they do in the best way possible–not just to have a good image that people will find attractive, but also to live up to that image. Their tendency to adapt to a "model" also motivates them to forget their own feelings.” That’s all I have, any counter arguments are welcomed! https://www.soompi.com/article/1414838wpp/park-bo-gum-shares-advice-he-received-from-gong-yoo-describes-how-hes-prepared-for-new-drama-and-more https://sk-asx.tumblr.com/post/127368187460/trans-elle-koreas-interview-with-park-bogum https://parisonheavens.wordpress.com/2016/11/12/interview-moonlight-drawn-by-clouds-park-bo-gum-brilliant-midsummer-nights-dream-seeing-the-moon-makes-the-drama-come-to-mind/ https://youtu.be/mEeoueVxozU
