Can I just say, I know no one's voting ESFJ at the moment, but to anyone who thought she was an ESFJ at the beginning of the show, I don't blame you! After all, before her Fi became more obvious, she was constantly letting her friends walk all over her and she cared too much about what other people thought, and her entire arc was about her growing into being comfortable with who she is, and not changing herself for other people and just going along with whatever pleased them, and at the beginning of the series, she was really dwelling on the past (which, of course, non-Si users could do, but it may have been mistaken for Si) However!! Once she grew out of that, she began to present more as an Fi-user, acting based on not external social values, the feelings and values of those around her, but rather what felt right to her! Additionally, she has a ton of Se- always living in the moment, adapting to present circumstances the best she could, knowing how to enjoy and appreciate various aspects of life for what it is, seeing things as what they are rather than what they could be, constantly partaking in external sensory stimuli, always feeling the need to act on any ideas she happens to have (I heard somewhere that Ne-users can be content sometimes with just thinking about but never bringing their ideas to fruition, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about this!), being very connected to and aware of her surroundings, and also taking things far too literally (such as, when Sprig showed her the Plantar Hunting Dance, she was telling him "Sprig, THERE IS NO MUSIC") She also struggled with working as a team inside of the Bugball episode? She wanted to do it all herself and it took her a while to realize that she needed to work together with everyone if this was going to work (I may be wrong but I thought I saw Fi and Fe-blindness in this) She also struggled with leadership in Commander Anne-- what point am I trying to make with this? Sasha was able to figure out everyone's strong points and what each person should be doing, and to properly plan and assess the situation, while Anne's style is more improvisation, which is Se>Ni, I think, and Sasha's Fe-Ni-Se came across in how she was able to figure out everyone's strengths in the group and how they'd best work together, and also to adequately plan+improvise in the situation, rather than adapting to the present circumstance and to her surroundings more so like Anne was doing- I saw some pretty clear function usage contrast in this, although it might have to do with Sasha's enneagram, I'm not sure- I apologize if anything I said about Se or Fi here is stereotypical, please feel free to correct me if it is! I know she only really seemed confirmed as a 9 recently, with her experiences in school, but... Anne's always felt like a 9 to me, I'm a bit puzzled at why the consensus used to be 3? Is it because of the front she used to put up for others? I've read what people said about her being a 9 and it honestly did feel more like she let people walk all over her because she was afraid of disturbing the peace among her friends, and the Sloth vice makes a lot of sense! With the flashback we get about Anne in high school, what we've been told about her when it comes to schoolwork, how she didn't really know what she wanted in life and tended to just get by and live her life to help out the people closest to her instead of focusing on her own future- I know Ni is also not just "future" but I wonder if I also see inferior Ni in the fact she was just living in the present and trying to have fun and get by in life, without really thinking about what she wanted to do in the future- please correct me if I'm wrong! What she said when she came back from the dentist appointment in S3 felt like an Ni-grip to me, honestly, and she also seemed to have an inferior Ni outburst at her mom when she said "When will you grow up, Anne?" "I DON'T KNOW, OKAY?" And then with this and what Anne said afterward... I can't remember exactly what it was but, I recall it did feel like her inferior Ni lashing out to me- Anyway, take this random messy argument I regurgitated from watching too much Amphibia- please let me know if I'm being stereotypical or if I'm wrong about anything I said here!
