Coming back here to leave a more useful comment about why I think Tyki is an ISTP and not an INTP. We all agree that he's a Ti dom (except for that one person who voted him INFP), so I'll focus on his auxiliary function: Se. ISTPs understand the world in a sensory or physical way, enjoying sensory pleasures or even risky activities. They are hands-on. And that's what Tyki does. He's not about ideas or patterns, he's not about abstract possibilities. And ISTPs are not always open to exploring what they find to be absurd or abstract ideas (which would be Ne). Immature ISTPs don’t want to accept responsibility, and maybe Tyki rejects them a little too much. They tend to evade consequences, not really caring if they leave destruction on their path. Yeah, that's maybe a bit too much... but rings a bell. The point is, immature or unhealthy Se can make an ISTP be impulsive or selfish... They do whatever they want in order to feel "alive" and "high" and can be addicted to sensory stimulation. I don't really think Tyki is an unhealthy Se user but he has many traits that are similar to this. A healthier expression of Se makes the ISTP easygoing and carefree yet grounded, fun-loving but without seeking pleasure merely out of boredom. Ne acts very differently. When immature, it uses fantasy to escape from problems, plays with ideas but doesn't bring them to life. Not like him at all. But he could be a healthy Ne user, right? Maybe, but I don't think so, since healthy Ne displays interest in possibilities and abstract patterns and ideas, looking for creative adaptation. I don't see much of that in Tyki, as I said earlier. About the tertiary functions, well, I don't think Tyki has Si in his stack either, but I don't find that to be important enough to dwell on it, so I'll just touch it briefly. Si is, mainly, about the past. And Tyki doesn't seem to be interested in it unless it offers him the key to understand the present and the future. And that's mostly in the most recent chapters, how he wants to understand the essence of what happened in the past with Nea to understand what's happening and how things are going to turn out. And that, if I'm not interpreting it wrong, feels more like Ni than Si. Also, ISTPs can use their tertiary Ni to organize their lives or, in a defensively way, to resist external control and structures. I can also see that in him. Buuuut if anyone who thinks he's an INTP wants to share their arguments, I'd love to read them!
