Why is he INFP : Fi: Charlie is an extremely sensitive person, but firstly to his own emotions and then others. The whole story is very heavily focused on his inner struggles with loving himself after what he went through his childhood and other factors. He values honesty and even if he has flaws he never tries to hide them. His decisions are mostly affected by his own feelings and his loved ones opinions (so not society as a whole but only the people he values). Ne: My god. This kid spends SO MUCH time in his head. Talking to people in his head and having entire conversations with them, making up scenarios, imagining how much better things could've gone if THIS certain possibility happened. Si: The bane to his life. It's more prominent in the movie than the book. He keeps reviewing his bad memories even though he hates it. He doesn't see things from other perspectives; only blaming himself and wishing he could've done better...perhaps too perfectionist. The entire aunt accident and the way he deals with it is the biggest Fi-Si loop ever (A bit of spoiler alert) Te: Almost non-existant until he gets excessively provoked; for example when he saw that his sister was in an abusive relationship or when he saw Patrick getting bullied. He is meek in nature and prefers to be a noise in the background. Thankfully this all changes by the end and he learns how to use all his functions healthily before it's too late.
