Personnalité
"Quel type de personnalité est Ilya? Ilya est un type de personnalité INFJ dans MBTI, 8w7 - - 468 dans Enneagram, dans Big 5, dans Socionics."
The creator said he's an INFJ (2) I expected him to be a SX4 or SX8 but he doesn't seem like either. He comes off more like a sketchy serial killer in the demo than a yandere, but after reading through the creator's tumblr Q&A I have a more soft impression of him. He seems to be someone who seeks security and closeness in his relationships more than novelty and adrenaline. He's more in control of his impulses and avoids losing his composure. He values staying in control of the situation (such as his reaction when we tried to get help from the cashier). He intellectualizes his murder instincts rather than revel in the experience like a SX4 or SX8 (see Arterial Spray). The dialogue options suggests he finds most people superficial and craves a deep connection with someone. He's admits he performs like everyone else but takes pride his self-awareness, which is fitting for a SX5. People drain him, but he doesn't really want to be alone. He has a somewhat push-pull thing where he secretly wants to be approached and pursued. Ilya is obsessive, reserved and intense about the MC. His ultimate goal is to pull someone into his world of two. He's indifferent (at best) to the world at large. He idealizes marriage and feels sentimental about commitment, romance and love. He is intrigued and fascinated by someone who can match his energy. He's not in love with the MC when he kidnaps them, only interested. But the creator confirmed he's a "one-woman" man. He takes his vows seriously in the planned Wedding ending. Once he falls in love, his feelings will never fade. This is different from the capricious nature of SX4 and SX8. He wants total transparency and trust in his relationship with the MC. He becomes more expressive and open when his trust is high and his suspicions are low. I imagine he became attached to the MC once he felt safe enough to lower his guard. Rather than staying self-protective or hiding behind a grand facade, he seems to embrace emotional intimacy. Ilya seems to be rather manipulative, trying to get inside the MC's head and make them grow more reliant on him emotionally. His approach is more condescending and subtle rather than overtly trying to dominate or guilt-trip them. His 4-fix is obvious. His 8-fix is also obvious since he has sadistic urges and enjoys asserting his power over the MC. What's less obvious is that his heart fix is closer than his gut fix. He seems like someone more out of touch with his animalistic instincts compared to his emotions and killing may be how he satisfies that. I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of those a guys who feel empty and dead inside and killing is what makes him feel most "alive" But he's not disconnected from his softer feelings. Head over heart because his interests are mostly intellectual (which he gets very excited sharing with the MC) and he is more comfortable with scientific literature rather than anything mystical or fluffy. (3) I have a reason for the PY vote. Someone her blog argued he's an FLVE but I strongly disagree. He's sooo indifferent to the physical aspect of the world. He accommodates the MC completely, changing things around to give them what they need to feel comfortable or normal (their hobbies, their health, their habits), having very few preferences regarding their shared living space. This is not the case for the stubborn with their comfort 1F. Especially since FLVE is the most hedonistic PY type and Ilya is far too ascetic in his daily life. He spends very little on himself and has no strong opinions regarding clothes and appearances, both his and the MC. I don't think Ilya is unbothered with Emotions at all. He might be a sociopath, but 4E does not entail sociopathy per se. I have good evidence he's a 2E. The creator repeatedly says he's observant and good at reading between the lines to figure out what's really going on with someone. He prefers to listen and can easily adapt to match his partner's energy. Another thing is that he can't be unbothered with Emotions. Ilya is someone who feels existential dread and seeks personal meaning through connection. He's sentimental and romantic. His main problem is deep loneliness (putting aside everything else wrong with him) and feeling like he has no place in the world. I think his fascination with the player resembles the 2E-3 placement more than any 4E subtype. I agree with them that he is most likely 3V (creating an unstable and dark perception of the world and his place in it). Lastly, I'm confident he's more 1L than 2L. He doesn't seem to interested in outside views that challenge his nihilism. He believes he sees the world as it is (although he is not focused on consistency. it's more like justifications of his emotionally driven worldview). He wants to be proven wrong, but not through debate. His rambles suggests he's reflected on this for a while in private. Someone guarded about their inner world like Ilya is more result Logic than process Logic.
