It's kind of obvious to me that there's a lack of knowledge about Machiavelli's intention behind The Prince or the history of the book. A lot of voters are talking as if this book is what he believes in, when in fact he wrote the book as a giant metaphorical fuck you to the Medici family after they kicked him out. He was essentially saying "You bastards have no morality so I'll write a tutorial on how to rule with no morality" I can't really support the notion that he's a 3w4 considering the fact that most arguments for it cite The Prince and its contents as the source.

#on knees Niccolò di Bernardo dei Machiavelli (3 May 1469 – 21 June 1527) was an Italian diplomat, author, philosopher and historian who lived during the Renaissance. He is best known for his political treatise The Prince, written around 1513 but not published until 1532. He has often been called the father of modern political philosophy and political science.
