"Quel type de personnalité est Violet Baudelaire? Violet Baudelaire est un type de personnalité INTP dans MBTI, 5w6 - sp/sx - 549 dans Enneagram, RLOAI dans Big 5, LII dans Socionics."
Violet is an INTP. The only reason people type her as an ISTP is because she is mechanical minded even tho INTPs are known to excell in whatever subject they have interest in so she could perfectly well do that as an INTP. I’ve seen a comment of an INTP saying she must be ISTP because they could never do what she does which makes no sense lol we’re all different and we all have different interests...she is a fictional character so you can’t take everything she does as something realistic that any 14 yo would do in the read world. Take Sunny for example....Do you think that babies could bite METAL like she does? obviously not it’s for the sake of the story... Now if we take cognitive functions in consideration she’s not either INTJ or ISTP. For her to be an INTJ she had to be NI-TE dom and she’s not. On TI vs TE “Introverted thinking is more internally focused while extroverted thinking is more externally focused. Introverted thinkers seek consistency and logic in their internal framework to assist with solving problems, while extroverted thinkers seek logic and consistency in outside rules to help them solve problems” (ex: violet’s habit to pull her hair up and close her eyes to get focused is the perfect example of her TI. she needs to work through her own thoughts before thinking about how she can apply them to the outside world and she sees the external world as a distraction). You can see her TI especially in contrast with Klaus who tends to think of the outside world first (ex: when he suspected count olaf wanted to marry violet for real and tried to find proof after while violet usually comes to a conclusion only when she already found some proof of it by working through it inside her own mind. same thing when he immediately noticed that aunt josephine’s message was weird and tried to crack the code while violet had to first see the cracked code and only after came to the conclusion that it really was fake) TI doms are normally the ones who “are able to explain how something happened and why it happened the way it did” and “seek consistency and logic of thought so they can form an internal framework for how things work and then figure out ways to improve, modify or perfect ideas. they often use this framework to analyze, problem-solve and improve on the product, process or concept. you can observe the effects of IT in people who are known for taking things apart or breaking concepts down to get an accurate understanding of how things work.” (ex: when violet wanted to prove that count olaf killed monty, while everyone else was busy talking, she sneaks out without anyone noticing, gets the murder weapon and explains how it all fits together. while klaus proved that the deadly viper was harmless and so couldn’t have commited the murder, violet was actually able to understand and explain how the murder occurred using her internal framework of how mechanical pieces fit together) “They turn concepts over and over in their minds, examining all sides of the issue and looking for breakdowns or inconsistencies.” (ex: whenever violet fixes anything she does exactly that. she relies on what she has learned about mechanics and tries to apply it to whatever machine she’s working with while looking for the issue and then fixing it based on what she already knows because no issue is the same but mechanics has logic to it so she can apply past things and convert them to fix something she had never fixed before. This also shows her SI) “For TJs, decision making is a simple matter of defining the outcome and determining the most direct path to it. TJs care little about “the how” of getting from point A to point B as long as the method works” again the klaus vs violet thing. (ex: when violet says “just try ur best” and klaus answers “doesn’t matter if i try my best what matters is what happens” or when klaus thought his plan failed but violet didnt see it that way, just because “he didnt finish the job” doesnt mean his plan was a failure. same thing when she said “the invention worked fine, i just got caught”) So she’s TI dom and not TE dom. You could also argue that she’s an INTJ because Violet usually just learns thing that might be useful for her in the future rather than just for the sake of it but I disagree. Because INTPs can also do that. We have our interests and even tho we love to learn we are very likely to not pay attention or even bother learning about something if we just don’t care enough about it. Violet’s main interest is mechanics which just happens to be very useful taking their situation in consideration. I believe Violet is an INTP with well developed FE. She is very polite and able to recognize other people’s feelings (ex: when she says “first impressions are often wrong” to olaf and pretended to like aunt josephine’s doll bc she didn’t want to hurt her feelings). She is also very adaptable as she can use her SI to access her memory of her parents whenever shes feeling down.
