Richard is unemployed. He met Machete online. Machete was posing as a young, vulnerable woman to get in contact with the desert group but instead found Richard, who was looking for another victim. After some time, Richard agreed to meet in person - in private. Once Richard arrived, Machete easily overpowered and abducted him. He got the black eye from Machete shortly after arriving at the desert.
