I think manga Eiji is an ISFJ too, just a more realistic portrayal of a what a teenage boy looks like, and not a yaoi-like malewife. He seems to be an Si-dom. Not only because of his prolonged grief (any type can suffer from this but I'd say it's more likely from an Si dom), but he approaches reality by taking past knowledge into account mostly. I'd say he's also a 9, but a 9w8, as he is more quick-tempered. Also, he is portrayed as an introvert (read Fly boy in the sky) he just roasts Ash quite a lot more, but that's not extroversion.
