Leslie is an ENTP and Social E8. Guys, she isn't ENTJ. Although her behavior might make her seem like a Te user, it’s important to remember that Te relies on data, statistics, concrete facts, generally accepted ideas, and accumulated experience. - Leslie, on the other hand, prefers absorbing subjective perspectives directly experienced by her clients. She easily connects counterpoints in a story and rebuts them with seemingly disconnected new perspectives. In the second trial of the brothers, she could easily counter the extremely concrete facts presented by the prosecution’s attorney, but she was silenced several times. This further highlights the use of Ne in a high position within her cognitive function stack, as Ne thrives on exposing a wide array of absorbed information, unlike Ni, which tends to favor internal monologues. Leslie felt the need to expose the arguments she had accumulated through her Ti, allowing her to rebut effectively every time. Importantly, she didn’t alter any facts; she simply wanted the brothers to be convincing, as building a compelling legal case is no easy task. The prosecution approached the situation from a very concrete perspective. Even though they were certain the brothers committed the crime, they viewed the situation as objective, factual, and superficial. They preferred relying on the evidence rather than engaging with deeper emotional involvement, denying the abuse claims due to insufficient proof. As a defense attorney, Leslie needed to analyze counterpoints and look beyond surface-level data. It’s unfair for people to type her as ENTJ just because she’s reactive and objective in her work. Additionally, having Ni as an auxiliary function doesn’t fit, as she never presented arguments through parallels or synthesized ideas (Ni). Instead, her connections were expansive and somewhat disordered, characteristic of Ne. She appears to demonstrate strong Ti usage, coupled with Fe. She’s capable of accumulating knowledge and finding coherent, consistent paths to build her defense. For instance, she justified the reasons behind the brothers committing the murders with logical and coherent arguments, even threatening the boundaries of human rights in the process. She’s adept at interpreting cases in a way that makes logical sense. Moreover, she shows excellent Fe usage, acting almost as a therapist to Erik rather than adhering to the strictly objective systems most attorneys follow. She also sought to emotionally impact the audience, such as when she urged Lyle to be more convincing or appear more depressed during his testimony. - For her, I believe SO8 fits perfectly. She aligns very well with all its characteristics. Among the E8 subtypes, the SO8 is the most concerned with others’ well-being, to the point of using aggression to defend the weak. Their emotional vice is violence, driven by solidarity and a desire to help the vulnerable and seek justice. This behavior, so distinct from other E8 subtypes, makes the SO8 particularly sensitive, with a keen radar for spotting people trying to exploit others. With this stance, the SO8 sees themselves as a protector of the disadvantaged, developing into a nurturing, supportive individual deeply concerned with being a justice-seeker. Compared to an SP8, the SO8 is less aggressive, more loyal, and more amicable in public. This is evident in Leslie’s courtroom demeanor, though her more explosive and impulsive side occasionally emerges, suggesting SX8 as her secondary subtype. Generally, however, the SO8 is calmer, more extroverted, and slower to anger than other E8 subtypes. I don’t understand the votes for E3 at all. She doesn’t seem preoccupied with self-image in general and doesn’t fit the E3 structure. Perhaps SO3, due to adaptability, but that’s the only connection I see.
