I’m glad the majority vote has shifted to ENTP rather than ENFP, but since it’s still pretty close, I’d like to share my analysis and argument for ENTP over ENFP. First, dom Ne-Si axis is glaringly evident. I don’t think there’s much argument needed for Ne dom, but for the sake of completion, I’ll address it briefly. The leading way she seems to interact with the world is through dom perception (Ne/Ni, or Se/Si) rather than dom judgement (Fe/Fi, or Te/Ti). Her dom perceiving function seems more focused on abstract questions of what “could be” (Ne or Ni) rather than observations of the literal, and what IS/HAS been (Se or Si, respectively). Her ideas stem more from divergent thinking (Ne) rather than convergent thinking (Ni). Ne jumps around ideas, stemming from one point and branching outwards. Alternatively, Ni finds common threads, narrowing down ideas into one conclusion. Watch some of her videos, and I think it’s clear which of the two Lizzie showcases more, haha! :) (Ne, as we have rather collectively agreed upon). Next, I think the most interesting point of discussion is Ti-Fe (ENTP) over Fi-Te (ENFP). The leading points I’ve seen people raise for aux Fi is her “quirkiness” and endeavors to manifest her own visions (“self-expression”). I think this is a misinterpretation of Fi, and how it works with Ne (Ne-Fi). Fi, like Fe, is a decision-making function based on moral principles and ethics. Lizzie’s decisions don’t seem to lead with a focus on moral implications, or what is the “just” way to approach things. In fact, I would say her decisions seem more based upon the “justIFIED” way of handling things: Ti, and the logical consistency that it serves. Ti and Te are more concerned with validity rather than ethics. As we’ve discussed, Lizzie leads with dom Ne, but I think this is served more clearly by aux Ti rather than aux Fi. She has a lot of “out there”/ imaginative ideas (such as ideas for builds; how she sometimes “jumps around” ideas, typical for high Ne users), and the way she executes these divergent ideas is through Ti: (internal) logic that makes sense to HER, even if it isn’t the most efficient, clear-cut method (unlike the Te in the Fi-Te axis). I’ve recently rewatched a lot of her series, and Ti supporting Ne comes up in her videos so often. There are many instances that follow the general formula of: “(Proposes “out there” idea (Ne))…I know! I’ll go on a huge (disconnected) quest to make this happen (Ne-Ti)! Naturally, of course, that’s the right way of doing things (aux Ti)”. The plans she formulates to actually make her ideas come to fruition are endearingly nonsensical, but rather than this representing her being “artistic” or “self-expressive” (which people commonly tie to Fi… even though that’s not what Fi is), they’re displays of internal logic that may disobey Te’s (Fi-Te) greater focus on efficiency. Like, so many moments of her videos can make you react like: “What?! Why would *that* be your solution?! Haha!” but to her, her process may seem perfectly logical based on her assessment of the situation, even if it isn’t the most efficient method. Finally, I think it’s interesting to briefly touch on the tertiary functions of Fe (ENTP) and Te (ENFP). To be completely transparent, I could understand the argument for Te over Ti. Te is more prone to sacrificing accuracy (in favor of a quick conclusion) rather than Ti, which is more concerned with consistency in validity. I understand how some of her knee-jerk assessments can be interpreted as Te (flexibility > consistency). However, the fact that her logic (Ti) can be so convoluted and inefficient/wandering (Ne-Ti) dispels the idea of Te for me. Next, as mentioned previously, both Fi and Fe are judgement functions that make decisions based on moral values and ethics. Naturally, Fi is focused on an internally-curated set of values, whereas Fe is directed more towards externally agreed upon values. Even though Lizzie may appear to “do as she pleases” (as seen in the pranks she plays on others in CrazyCraft 3.0), I think this actually reflects an understanding of externally-agreed-upon ethical values. She’s aware of the group’s moral values/agreements…AND knows when it’s acceptable to stray from them, for the sake of fun (Ne-Fe)! Finally, I wonder if part of the reason Lizzie has so many ENFP votes is because her aesthetic is cute and pink, and her personality is rather bubbly and whimsical. Plus, she’s a woman, and women are more prone to being (mis)typed as feelers (high Fi or Fe users) rather than thinkers (high Ti or Te) when it comes to assessing their top judgement function. In her videos, you can also appreciate moments where she has a more witty, cheeky, and sarcastic side (Ti-Fe). All in all, no hate to ENFP voters. I’ve just loved Lizzie’s videos ever since I was a kid, so I’m always happy to discuss her. My analysis is meant in good fun—I think part of the fun of typology is hearing each other’s different intepretations! :)
