Can anyone voting for ENTJ explain why on earth they think he’s a Te dom? In my opinion, he seems more like an Ni dom mainly because I feel like he values intuition and values over logic. I understand the logic behind arguing for the inclusion of Te in his cognitive functions obviously, but the Te in the auxiliary position seems to make more sense to me because it includes that drive to realise his goals, but also includes a heavier emphasis on rationality and values when paired with the Ni dom. Furthermore, during the 1.6 event interrogation, I thought that his tendency to brush over the inconsistencies that the trailblazer pointed out seems inconsistent with a Te dom. The Te dom looks for logical structure and inconsistencies while the Ni dom tends to find patterns and connections, the latter of which seems more on par with his behavior. Additionally, I thought that tertiary Se function similarly didn’t fit him mainly because, again, he seemed to focus more on big picture, intuitive ideas rather than the more physical, detailed facts. If he was a tertiary Se function, I think he would’ve been more likely to trust the observable facts and fall back on his conclusion of guilt used in the 1.6 interrogation rather than focusing on a larger scale conclusion that the trailblazer was the most likely culprit. The tertiary Fi function seems to fit better because it brings in the values and visions that he has with his desire to cure idiocy or whatever. Lastly, I think the Se function seems way better suited in the inferior position because he seems to enjoy aesthetics and be physical environment to a certain extent, seeing as he uses those ridiculous statues and gets frustrated when people have redundant issues or questions. He seems to care at least a bit about aesthetics and tranquility. While inferior Fi does include things about values and what not, it seems like the Te functions would make it more detached than he actually is from his values. Yes, he seems rude and apathetic, but his characters description emphasises his value for intelligence and “curing” ignorance in others. This intense care for what he values and doesn’t value I think seems way more indicative of a tertiary Fi, not an inferior one. Anyway, I hope I’ve explained myself properly but if anyone could actually state their argument for ENTJ instead of just saying “he’s an ENTJ bc he uses dom Te” as if that isn’t practically the definition of a logical fallacy, that’d be awesome. Edit: Thank you for the support! Also, I wanted to add some newer interactions that I think support the INTJ typing. First, Ratio’s voice line when waiting to trigger an attack says something along the lines of “No need to rush; patience breeds success” which seem very INTJ of him. Second, when speaking to Aventurine he seems bothered by the fact that Aventurine didn’t have a concrete plan of action, asking him almost aggressively: “What’s your plan?” Everyone for ENTJ has been arguing nonstop about how he seems “action-oriented” than a “planner” (as traditional for INTJ), but those two little things seem VERY much like the opposite. An ENTJ would urge the player to take action against the opponents rather than taking the time to strategize like he does. And an ENTJ would not be as concerned about the lack of planning, and would be more concerned with whether action was being taken. However, that is not the case, so even as more scenes and lines are added for Dr. Ratio, I’m still even more inclined to type him as INTJ.
