The Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon, also known as the frequency illusion or recency illusion, refers to the experience of encountering something new or obscure for the first time and then noticing it repeatedly afterward, seemingly everywhere. It's the sensation of learning about something unfamiliar and subsequently encountering it frequently shortly after that initial exposure. For example, you might learn about a particular type of car or a rare word you've never heard before, and suddenly, you start noticing that car model everywhere you go, or you encounter that word frequently in articles or conversations. It gives the impression that the thing you've just learned about has suddenly become pervasive, though it's more a product of increased awareness rather than an actual increase in occurrence.
