Biographie
Prof. Dr. Halil İnalcık was born in Istanbul in 1916. He was one of the most respected historians in Turkey. He graduated from the Department of History in the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University in 1940. He completed his doctoral degree at his alma mater in 1943.
