True commitment to the bit, RIP. EIE or IEI, it's hard to tell. But very very clearly Beta NF. They have this way of floating along on a warm carpet of pure vibes. Flexible relationship to the truth, and total disregard of facts in a Te sense, but know exactly how to embody the optimal social persona for a given environment. Arday was excellent at projecting a sort of warm, beaming energy without actually saying much of substance. Anecdotally, I knew a researcher (IEI?) quite similar to him in graduate school. If you read that guy's work, it was riddled with errors. But talking to him in person, you felt bad, because he was just so magnanimous and charming that you couldn't bring yourself to hate him. I didn't think about him much after that, but recently I watched a video of Arday speaking and thought: oh my god, I know EXACTLY what type of guy this is
Biographie
Jason Atta Kwei Arday (9 May 1985 - 14 August 2026) was a British academic and author. He was a professor at the University of Cambridge between 2023 and 2026. He resigned following allegations that he plagiarised and falsified parts of his research and that he misrepresented parts of his biography.
