The characterological term of ‘activity’ can only be applied to a ? person whose disposition to activity comes from within himself. The non-active acts against his liking, against his will. It does not give him pleasure to act, he acts only when and because he is forced. Whereas, the active acts because he must. It is a congenital impulse that pushes him to act. We can even say that the active person lives to act, when an obsticle appears in his way he considers it an invitation to action.
