Personnalité
"Quel type de personnalité est Violet Sorrengail? Violet Sorrengail est un type de personnalité INFJ dans MBTI, 5w6 - so/sp - 514 dans Enneagram, RLUAI dans Big 5, LII dans Socionics."
Everything about her screams INFJ. She follows a strong sense of unified intuition about the world and her life (Ni), not a set of randomized ideas. She’s quick to understand other people and social dynamics based on minimal information (Ni-Fe). She follows "hunches" so to speak. Her Ti is sharp and she’s a critical thinker and great analyzer—not only of historical events, but of people’s characters. Just because she has a great memory doesn’t mean she’s an Si user. She comes to conclusions about the "heart" of things too easily to NOT have Ni-Ti-Fe. She also always knew what she wanted to be in life (a Scribe), and when things changed, she adjusted (Fe-Se) to conform to her newly adopted identity as a Rider. Si is a more rigid system that relies on past frames of reference to understand new information. Violet is better at adapting in the present than relying solely on past patterns. Having Se inferior also explains her tendency to over-exert herself physically despite knowing the consequences. [She reminds me of Izuku Midoriya in that way—another INFJ character]. Her Se is also connected to her Fe function, and her Fe is too conscious to be inferior. She consistently makes leaping decisions based on universal intuitions like "This is wrong", or "This is right". She says it explicitly many times throughout the first book. She also has a self-sacrificial or "hero complex" tendency to her, which is the most obvious in the Threshing chapter about the golden dragon, but also when she wanted to spare Amber for attempting to kill her—despite knowing that Amber would probably try and kill her again. The way her lightning signet is controlled by her emotions is an interesting manifestation of Fe-Se too, since signets reveal the cores and strengths of riders. This is a super telling detail. Violet also explicitly demonstrates Fe-Se by narrating how certain physical or vocal cues told her to change a conversation or say something specific. She’s especially attentive of Xaden’s facial and body expressions to understand how he feels about certain conversations she tried to have with him. "I swear I can actually see the man building his defenses against his own feelings" (chapter 31). If this isn’t the most Ni-Fe-Ti-Se ability to read people so easily and immediately, I don’t know what is. She’s also openly friendly and communicative with her peers, which suggests a strong Fe, despite Dain and Mira’s warnings to stick to her own. Other than leaping to help her friends (think about switching shoes with Rhiannon and even making the risky decision of saving Liam from Jack), her INFJ cognitive function stack makes her quite feisty. Real-life INFJs can be stubborn, angry and flirtatious (ESTP shadow). [She reminds me of Bonnie Bennet in this respect, especially with Violet’s sarcastic and stubborn wit against Xaden.] In other words, Violet is probably the best portrayal of a realistic and human INFJ in fiction. She is honest and complex, rather than a stereotypical trope of being the quiet "wise" old soul.
