(1/2) nyamu is a so/sx 3w2, heres why. (i'll add more to this from time to time) ☆ my analysis nyamu "all publicity is good publicity" yutenji is a character who loves fame and believes she knows the most about how fame should be achieved. she acts narcissistic and self obsessed in order to block out any feelings of inferiority caused by unpopularity. she wants to be listened to and in control of herself, so she refuses to let anybody else take charge of her own life. she resents feeling inferior and feeling consumed. i know a lot of people think she was just unmasking her members for the fun of it but i actually think that it was more of a regaining her humanity thing in disagreement with the entire concept of avemuji—she didnt want to be a doll and dragged the other members with her, and to her, the fame she believed she deserved was a side bonus to her deed. she did take the other members with her, but it was not because she wanted to give them their humanity too, more in a "told you so, now everything is going exactly how i wanted it to." she hated the direction of staying masked and so she chose to create her own path. nyamu is not remorseless; she evidently does feel remorse, regret, and guilt. even if its brief or something she can push down, it isnt as if its never felt. in episode 2, we see this when mutsumi has a breakdown on stage, and the camera is cut to nyamu. while every other member has an expression of concern, nyamu has something more; fear. she knows exactly why mutsumi has been acting oddly lately, the signs were there ever since she unmasked her. she intended to put herself into the spotlight, thinking the big reveal (especially if done by her) would cause everyone to become much more interested in her than they actually ended up being. we can see in the anime that people crowd uika, sakiko, and mutsumi (and they attempt to talk to umiri) but nobody pays much mind to nyamu, or even mentions her at all. beyond this, and extending on what i said earlier, she is rather petty. on the stage where she unmasked sakiko, she used her very own words against her. even if it was apart of the script, she went offscript just to offend sakiko in the same way in which she felt offended. using peoples words against them or to mess with others is constantly done in a very "i told you so!" way, because she believes its the best way to make people listen to her and pay attention to what she has to say. ☆ the social enneagram three social threes will do whatever they can to keep up their appearance, as they are compulsive liars in the sense that the persona they put up for others is nearly entirely false. they care about how others percieve them over how they percieve themselves, and their worth is entirely based on the publics opinion. how does this relate to nyamu? well, its very obvious to see that she will do whatever she can for popularity. after she unmasked her members, she was initially estatic to see the popularity they had gained, noticing herself in the trending tags at first, however, it ended up being very short lived for her. she herself says: "why is nyamu not a hot topic at all?" showing she expected to gain something more than just the control she desired from this. as i mentioned previously, nyamu does not like feeling as though she is being controlled. to her, it is suffocating, and she would much rather be free and independent than bossed around. she does not care about who leads others, but she certainly cares about who leads herself. this is an incredibly telling trait of the social 3, as the need for independence and freedom is almost innate in their psychological complex. "whats the point of having free will if i cant exercise it?" and et cetera. social 3s are rather competitive, which ties into their self serving and egotistical nature as well. nyamu sees anything that can be more popular than her as a competition, and will treat it accordingly. even her own bandmates are second rate in her mind, and she believes the world should reflect this belief. tying into the social 3 trait of impatience, nyamu gets rather bored rather quickly, which is apart of the reason why she had the idea to unmask her bandmates in the first place (though NOT the entire reason—i hope i've made it clear that her reasoning for this was selfish in a much more nuanced way than a lot of people are making it out to be) as she was bored of the "doll-like, eternally masked" concept—she wanted to be human once more, she could never stay in one place forever with such little change like how sakiko wanted her to.
