I watched the show a long time ago and I'm still learning abt the functions, so correct me if I'm wrong: Uchi is confrontational (unafraid to call out Makoto and Natsumi) and direct. An example I remember is that he is straight to the point when they introduce themselves during the first dinner - he makes it very clear that he's here to find a girlfriend. (Te) When looking for a girlfriend, during Uchi week, rather than testing the waters with the person he liked best, he took a more systematic approach and went on dates with all of them one by one. Then when he decided he liked Minori the best, he had also been cautious and slow to take action. (Si) The meat incident: Uchi had acted that way because the meat had been a reflection of his hard work and accomplishments. (Not sure exactly which function this is, seems like Te-Fi at work?) Later on in the relationship, there had been some tension between Minori and Uchi because Minori hadn't been as disciplined or working as hard as Uchi wanted in a partner. ENFP would be more likely to value Minori's freedom and not force his priorities on her. That's pretty much my explanation, open to discuss!
