INFJ E5 votes are absolute barf. ENFJ E2 votes are absolute barf. Brian Moser is an EN(T) Self-Preservation 7. And no, I am not talking about his 'Rudy Cooper' persona, I am talking about the Ice Truck Killer himself: Brian Moser. First off all, for everyone typing Sexual 5; Brian is not E5. Brian doesn't possess the cognitive detachment, the fear of engulfment, or the isolationist attitude of E5. Please read up on what E5 really is before you start spamming that "Sexual 5 misunderstood romantic genius" barfload. Brian is thoroughly E7: - He is very skilled at charming and seducing others with his verbal intelligence. - His cat-and-mouse games with Dexter showcase that he has a passion for displaying intellectual narcissism. - His ability to (almost) persuade Dexter to join him in being 'free' shows the mental permissive rebellion of E7; a social antisocial. -> "It can be difficult to talk about interpersonal strategy in the E7 conservation when the strategy is a constant in the life of this, more than a planner, a plotter, who exceeds the limits of his knowledge with charlatanism, and whose expressive ability and lack of moral limits they make him a very effective persuader and manipulator of words." The central idea around Brian is that he is Dexter without the Code; the other side of the coin. Brian is Dexter without a Harry or a Debra or a Rita. Dexter lives by a Code. Brian kills without a code, without reason. He rejects reason. Him trying to convince Dexter to give up his old ways, to leave his Code behind, and be "free" to kill whoever he wants shows that he has a cognitive passion for rebelling against the norms which is aligned with the anti-authoritarian attitude of Self-Preservation 7. "While you were being raised by the Morgan family, I only had the memory of a family." - Brian to Dexter. -> "The conservation E7 is a cynic. The disbelief of everything and everyone, mistrust, skepticism, also denote a certain disillusionment with life that is little manifested. There is, behind all this, a tendency to nihilism that has to do with the fear he felt in childhood when faced with the sensation of a threat to conservation, which in turn feeds his permanent insatiability: fill the void with abundance so as not to feel deprived." Unlike Dexter who had Harry and Debra to keep him anchored, Brian was fending for himself and became self-sufficient while growing up within mental institutions that he grew to hate, perfectly matching the upbringing of a Self-Preservation 7; a character who develops it's maturity with an intellectual rebellion against conventions, norms, institutions, laws at a very early age out of a need for security. Brian's cynical outlook is clearly reflective of this fact, paving the way for the strategic attitude of Self-Preservation 7. He is not INFJ, he is not ENFJ. He is ENTP. He isn't a crank guided by an inner vision which eliminates IN; nor is he a hysteric displaying any kind of exaggerated emotional influence over others and that disqualifies EF. Brian is an Irrational type with an orientation towards irrational, unreasonable ideas filtered through interactions with objective conditions. The EN(T) is the type that is more focused on using it's intuition to realize possibilities in intellectual and practical areas of their life, and uses their intuitive abilities in very creative and innovative ways to get what they seek. Brian's rebellious outlook against society, his self-perception of being "free" from reason, from conventions, free without a 'Code'; are all reflective of the rebellious nature EN. The Intuitive type; both IN and EN; is the one most often looking underneath the surface; for an IN type this outlook is very subjective, they look inwards but with the EN their ideas are focused on external objects. Brian's ability to understand and perceive Dexter's true nature and attempts to reveal a "free" life without the limitations of his Code are all markers of an orientation conveying intuitive, irrational thought processes and an outlook in relation to external objects rather than the inward focus of Introverted Intuition. An IN in contrast is a type very focused on their own internal vision, one that makes zero sense with regards to it's applicability and relation to the external object. They are far more delusional individuals that struggle with adapting their ideas to reality since they are very attached to their subjective intuitions and as such become very reclusive and aloof. They are completely unaware and resistant to the influence of external conditions on the effect of their intuitions. A good example of pure, differentiated IN is John Doe from Se7en. Brian is nothing like this. Look at the Doomsday Killer from Season 6; that is the IN(F) in this series, not Brian. Brian Moser is an ENTP EN(T) Self-Preservation 7.
