8w9 makes way more sense. Even if he were cp6 you would still see the ambiguity of being fearful yet courageous. He seems to know exactly what he's doing and he's constantly breaking rules and going against protocols. Also, his biggest nightmare isn't losing support or anything like that, it's about failing to be the strong figure for his family (death of his wife).
