Biographie

Apollo (アポロ Aporo) is a central character in Tune In to the Midnight Heart. She was a radio host of Midnight Heart Tune, with Arisu Yamabuki as a regular viewer. She abruptly ended her show and leads to Arisu trying to find her. After Arisu tries joining the Broadcasting Club, Apollo restarts her broadcast after 3 years of silence, leading to the events in the story. The mystery is that she's most likely one of the four members in the Broadcasting Club.Apollo's appearance is deliberately ambiguous, but she is portrayed as a shadow covered girl with short hair, a headset and is often seen smiling. For other uses, see Tune In to the Midnight Heart (disambiguation) ❝Welcome to Midnight Heart Tune!❞ — Arisu's flashback to one of Apollo's broadcasts in Chapter 1 Midnight Heart Tune (真ま夜よ中なかハートチューン Mayonaka Hāto Chūn) was a broadcast/radio show hosted by Apollo with Arisu Yamabuki as an adoring audience member. At the start of the series, the broadcast had been inactive for 3 years, but at the end of Chapter 1, it was restarted by Apollo. When a broadcast starts, a notification is sent out (persumably to the people following the broadcast). These broadcasts are also able to have titles. History Apollo's reasons for starting the broadcast are unknown, but during it's orignial run, it had very few listeners, often having none. One day, Arisu found the broadcast and started listening to it every night while laying in bed. Apollo also had to whisper to not be heard by her parents when doing the broadcast.[1] These broadcasts soon became direct conversations between Arisu and Apollo when no one else was listening. Apollo would also often play music[2] on her guitar and voice act from manga.[3] When ending her broadcast, Apollo would use the phrase "Thank you and good night! My dear listeners... I love you." During her last broadcast, Arisu would reciprocate, saying "I love you" back. From here, Apollo's broadcast would not start again with her archive also deleted. Story During the events of the story, Midnight Heart Tune would start up a couple times. The first time being after Arisu leaves the broadcasting room after barging in for the first time. When he gets back to the cafeteria, he gets a notification that Apollo had started streaming Midnight Heart Tune with the title "Noon Announcement". Persumably, nothing was said during this broadcast. The second time comes during the sports festival when Apollo started streaming with the title "I'm waiting in the broadcasting room.", which would lead Arisu to having a string telephone conversation with Apollo. The third time unexpectedly comes after the Broadcasting Club has ended their Q & A session, before the day of the school trip. This time, Apollo comes to state she will have the chance to spend time with Arisu during the trip and reassures him she didn't end her broadcast because of him. She herself ended the broadcast with the same line she used before: "My dear listeners... I love you." The fourth time comes during the school trip, after the Broadcasting Club takes a selfie on the Platform Where One Can Scoop Up Stars.Despite being one of main characters, Apollo has the least amount of appearances for the main characters in the series.
