Ti: Ghostblade is motivated by a sense of logic he has assembled from his observations of the world. He vindicates his inaction to intervene on the tax collectors because as he puts it, it would happen anyway. All he'd do is buy time that inevitably runs out. He likely did feel compassion, but he easily reasoned it away. This is why he clashes with Yan, because she's motivated by emotions and values. Se: Ghostblade's whole way of living and being is defined by how he interacts with the world. He observes and acts, with very little time to speculate and reflect. Even his more philosophical moments consist of conclusions drawn from his external surroundings. He takes in with senses and refines with reason. Ni: Ghostblade is very insightful. He's seen oppression, war, and death; he himself is almost like a grim reaper-like character with how his sword absorbs souls. This allows to him to understand how death is the only promise of life and leads to his nihilistic perspective that he uses to predict how things will play out. Perhaps that's why he's intrigued by Yan, she's hopeful and compassionate in a way he didn't think was possble. Fe: Despite his cold nature, Ghostblade is capable of compassion and acting on the wants and values of others. This motivates him to train Selence and retrieve Yan's necklace. It seems Ghostblade has a conscious usage of Fe, but he ignores it because he thinks it may only cause more trouble. As shown with Selence, he considers his compassion to have led to regret which makes him fearful of acting on it. But it continues to manifest for his allies and friends, because deep down, he sincerely cares about others.
