Asami Segawa (瀬せ川がわ 麻あさ美み, Segawa Asami?) is a supporting character in the series. She is a priestess at Megurogawa Shrine and the mother of Hiro Segawa.Asami is a polite and friendly woman if you are female, but if you are male, she is shown to be rude and hostile as she dislikes her daughter having Male friends, this was shown when Hiro Segawa invited Erika Amano and Nagi Umino over to study and she brought cake for the girls but gave Nagi one small Sweet and a stern glare, she also peeked in to glare at Nagi every so often. History Relationships Hiro Segawa Asami loves her daughter and is extremely protective of her. Erika Amano Asami was shown to be polite to Erika even offering her cake. Nagi Umino Asami dislikes Nagi greatly for unknown reasons, most likely because he is Male and a friend of her daughter, she showed him nothing but hostility towards him when he came to study with Erika as shown by her not offering him anything decent to eat and glaring at him. Etymology The name Asami means "hemp, flax" (麻) (asa) and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
