"Quel type de personnalité est Nahida? Nahida est un type de personnalité INFJ dans MBTI, 4w5 - so/sp - 459 dans Enneagram, RCOAI dans Big 5, IEI dans Socionics."

𝐍𝐀𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐀 - 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 (1/5) 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: I see people on TypologyTok trying to spread the “SX5 Nahida agenda,” and I’ve had enough, so I’ve decided to write an official SO4 argument for her. People on this website love to type any intelligent yet internally emotional character as an SX5 nowadays, and it’s showing here. There are so many elements of SX5 and especially core 5 in general that are completely inaccurate for her, so I’d like to elaborate on these elements and argue for her actual enneatype in the process, SO4. Yes, I originally pegged her as an SP4 (as seen in my original argument on her page that very briefly talked about her Enneagram), however, I’ve changed my perspective and am now an SO4 Nahida believer. Previously I wasn’t as knowledgeable on SO4, but now that I’ve spent a lot more time researching it, I think that it fits Nahida like a glove. 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈: 𝐃𝐄𝐁𝐔𝐍𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐓𝐘𝐏𝐄 I can kind of see why people would type Nahida as a 5 core (I originally did so as well back when she made a small appearance in the Golden Apple Archipelago event in 2.8) due to her thirst for knowledge and habit of wanting to watch the Traveler from a distance, however, there are a lot of elements of the 5 beyond this that completely contradict Nahida’s character. The primary defense mechanism of the core 5 is isolation, which is depicted as both the detachment from society and the detachment from the user’s personal emotions. The 5 is therefore characterized as seeming not only physically detached from others, but also mentally (especially in the emotional realm). Because of this, they are depicted as being apathetic. This, combined with the avarice of the 5, creates a character who is “best characterized by deficits such as underarousal, undermotivation, and insensitivity” (Claudio Naranjo). Tying into this, the 5 is often described as being emotionally dry compared to the emotionally “wet” 4. How exactly does this apply to Nahida? She has a lack of confidence in regards to her own emotions and her ability to understand the emotions of those around her, but this is almost entirely due to her low self-esteem. She has actually proven to be extremely empathetic (as shown in her most recent story quest and even throughout the Archon Quests) and skilled at deciphering the emotions of those around her (i.e., characters like Dottore and Setaria). Another element about the 5 that doesn’t fit Nahida is their fear of engulfment. This is actually a pretty head-triad related thing itself. The 5 often feels overwhelmed by other people and the environment as a whole and therefore creates boundaries against it. They are strongly against the idea of interacting with the environment as a whole. Nahida also goes against this completely: She is not only shown to throw herself into dangerous situations and even outright attempts to sacrifice herself several times, like when she tried using the fire seed on the Geoshroom in the Chasm and when she tried to create a new fire seed after the previous one broke. Both of these actions not only feel very anti-5 but also feel quite anti-head-triad as well. The types in the head triad are shown to be highly concerned about their personal safety, and Nahida shows little to no regard for this. There are other aspects about the 5 that don’t fit Nahida as well, but for the sake of this argument being brief and me retaining my sanity, I’m going to zoom in on SX5 specifically and why Nahida doesn’t fit it. I know a lot of people are thinking, “You said Nahida isn’t a five 'cause she’s emotional, b-b-but the SX5 is emotional and not like the other 5s!!!!” This isn’t absolutely incorrect, however, it’s important to remember that the SX5 is still a core 5. Yes, it is more emotional than the other 5 subtypes, but compared to even other Enneagram types? It’s still extremely externally dry and aloof. The reason why the SX5 is the countertype is due to the fact that it is far more internally emotional and romantic than the other two subtypes. Also, it’s important to note the core traits of the 5 still apply to the SX5. Just because it’s the countertype, doesn’t mean that it’s exempt from matching the trait structure of the 5. I am a firm believer of the idea that the core is far more important than the subtype.

Biographie

Nahida is a quest-exclusive NPC that appears in the Archon Quest Chapter III: Act II - The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings.A mysterious white-haired child the Traveler meets in Sumeru, who guides them through a crisis involving the Akademiya harvesting dreams. Her wisdom and insight into the inner workings of Sumeru, as well as her habit of appearing and disappearing on a whim, were enough clues for the Traveler to easily identify her as "Lesser Lord Kusanali" Buer, the Dendro Archon, or at least her illusory form, built to overcome the Sages' strictures on her, being physically imprisoned in all but name in the Sanctuary of Surasthana atop the Akademiya. Sympathizing with her plight, the Traveler resolves to free her and help her overcome her immense self-doubt and assume her rightful place in Sumeru, even if it means going up against the might of the Akademiya and the Sages... to say nothing of their backers from such familiar foes as the Fatui.
