You know what, I initially voted him as an INFP based on his anime portrayal, and I started to read the manga to get a feel if the two portrayals really are different. I can't help but feel that a lot of Kaneki's internal processing is a lot more apparent in the manga and, in turn, immensely subdued in the anime to a detrimental degree. I think from Chapter 25 onward, his Ni and Fe become more pronounced, and his entire "only I can understand the concept that ghouls and humans are much more alike than anyone realizes" feels much more Ti oriented than Fi oriented, and he aims to use that knowledge to benefit both ghoul and human society as a whole (using Ti to support Fe).
